Lori-Ann’s World Famous Ribs

Ingredients

2 racks of ribs
1 bottle of your favourite barbecue sauce
1 2L bottle of Dad’s Famous Root Beer or Canada Dry Ginger Ale
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp smoked lacked salt

Recipe

Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.

Wash and dry (pat with paper towel) the ribs and place them in a foil pan. Pour the bottle of root beer or ginger ale over the ribs and cover tightly with foil and cook on convection for 4 hours at 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Remove ribs from the oven and drain all liquid. In a clean foil pan, add dry ingredients and cut the ribs into small pieces (3-5 ribs per piece). With plastic gloves on, pat all rib pieces with the dry mix and then put back into the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit, uncovered, for about an hour.

Generally brush on BBQ sauce over each piece and broil in the oven for about 4-5 minutes, until sauce and sugar start to bubble. Turn ribs over and repeat.
