Stellina’s Cinnamon Bun Rolls

Ingredients

Dough
2-1/4 tsp of active dry yeast or instant yeast
1 cup of lukewarm milk
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
1/3 cup of butter softened
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour

Filling
1 cup brown sugar packed
3 tbsp cinnamon
1/3 cup butter softened

Icing
6 tbsp butter softened
1-1/2 cups of cream cheese
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/8 tsp salt

Recipe

Dough
Dissolve the yeast into the warm milk with 1 tsp of sugar and let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Add sugar, butter, salt, eggs, and flour to the mixer and mix well. Then pour the yeast/milk mixture into the mixture and with the dough hook, bring it together well.

Remove dough from mixer and place dough in a well-oiled bowl, covered for 1 hour until it has doubled in size.

Filling
Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter in a bowl.

Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface, until it’s approximately 16″ x 12″ and 1/4″ thick. Next, spread 1/3 cup of butter over the dough and then sprinkle with the sugar filling.

Starting at the longer edge, start rolling the dough! Cut the dough into even pieces and place lighting into a buttered baking pan. Cover for 30 minutes and let them rise and double in size.

Bake the cinnamon rolls at 330 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Ice then enjoy!
