Mike’s Pizza Dough

Ingredients

1-1/3 cups warm water
2-1/4 tsp traditional yeast
1 tbsp granulated sugar
3/4 tsp salt
3-1/2 cups flour “00”
2 tbsp olive oil

Recipe

Whisk water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and cover. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and olive oil. When the yeast mixture is ready, add it to the bowl and mix it all together and beat on low speed for 3-4 minutes.

Once the dough is mixed well, remove from the bowl and knead for 5 minutes.

In a clean, large bowl, add olive oil and put the kneaded dough in. Cover with cellophane wrap and a tea towel and let it rise for 3-4 hours.

When ready to make pizzas, roll out dough on a flat, lightly floured surface and add your pizza sauce, cheese, and desired toppings!
